Basic Purpose:

Main job is to keep a watchful eye on stock, staff and the customers, to assist the store in securing the store and its properties from damages or loss due to both internal and external forces.

Major Responsibilities:

Prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of store premises.
Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
Keep track of all store walk-ins
Monitors movement of all customers in the stores
Check in customers' extra baggage at the baggage counter
Apprehends suspected shoplifters/thieves and reports the same to store management
Maintains store logbook of all activities in the store
Verifies proper functioning of physical security systems, such as closed-circuit televisions, alarms, sensor tag systems, or locks

Job Qualifications:

College graduate of any 4 year course
At least 1 year related experience.
Thorough understanding of store procedures and policies.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Computer proficent.
